Our Course

If you’ve briefly compared Sherpa Prep to other GMAT preparation companies, you’ve probably seen that we offer more hours, more help, and more hands-on instruction than other providers.

You may be unaware, however, that our GMAT course also includes a vast number of perks that no other company offers. To better acquaint you with everything that we provide, let’s start with the basics. First, every Sherpa GMAT course includes:

• 40 hours of classroom instruction.
• The GMAT Official Guide, Focus Edition.
• 6 computer-adaptive GMAT practice exams.
• Sherpa's 16 proprietary GMAT strategy guides.

Our 16 strategy guides combine more than three-decades worth of daily teaching experience and are updated regularly by our instructors. Take a moment to check out the sample on our materials page. We think you’ll see that the breadth and depth of these guides go well beyond what you find anywhere else.

Next, to ensure that our students learn in an interactive setting that promotes discussion and personal attention, every Sherpa GMAT course averages only 12 students. Our small class size is something that no other company offers. In addition, our instructors also meet privately with every student three times per course to check on progress, offer guidance, and provide further one-on-one support.

For students who would like further help, we host free office hours every Sunday evening Live Online or at our Dupont Circle location from 7:30 PM to 9:30 PM. We offer unlimited access to office hours for one year from the start date of your original course. We also offer private instruction at our heavily subsidized “student” rate of $75 per hour. As you can see here, this rate is dramatically less than what you can get from other providers.

Beyond this, anyone struggling to master a particular topic can take advantage of our “targeted repeat” policy, in which you can retake up to four classes that you’ve already taken, at a cost of $25 per class. This policy is distinct from our “flexible scheduling policy”, which allows students to reschedule any class that they miss for $10.

Finally, to ensure that every Sherpa student student is covered — no matter what the circumstance! — our students are welcome to enroll in a second course one time, free of charge, for any reason. This is a true “no hoops, no fine print” guarantee that can be used on any course that begins within one year of the start date of your original course. There is no other company that works as hard as we do to ensure that you obtain your best score possible.
