The course is very well designed over a period of two months. Nafeez is a phenomenal instructor. He puts in a lot of time and effort with his students and tries to understand what issues every individual is facing and then tries to work with you to achieve your goal. One thing that i particularly found very useful were the one on one tuition sessions with Nafeez. I would try meet Nafeez once a week or once in two weeks and try go over my maths and verbal problems. If you are enrolled in the Sherpa course, the one on one tuition sessions only cost $50 ( One hour), which is very reasonable and you can gain a lot out of them.

The material that is provided to you at the beginning of the course is really useful and the strategies that are taught in-class by Nafeez are great. Nafeez also gives you a very detailed phase 2 plan for once the class in finished and the way he has designed that is really helpful and keeps you on track.

Overall the course is great and I think its better then anything else out there!

Currently, Nafeez is helping me pull together my essays for Executive MBA programs. I am so grateful for his insight and advice on how to prepare a winning EMBA application.

Do yourself a favor and invest in Sherpa's program. You won't regret it!

I would highly recommend Sherpa's GMAT class. After studying on my own and taking the test twice (with less than ideal scores), I knew I needed to change my method. The course, which I completed with Nafeez over summer 2017, provided the strategies, content and accountability I needed.

1) All of the materials are provided for you. You receive the official GMAT question books + Sherpa's own materials.
2) Informal learning environment with phenomenal instructors. You have to come to the classes prepared in order to get the most out of them. But the information is taught in a straight forward manner.
3) Great tips and strategies for planning your study schedule and test preparation.

Phenomenal class, got a 700+ score.

I would wholehearted recommend Sherpa to anyone out there looking for a strong GMAT/EA prep course. After extensive due diligence, I used Sherpa for both my Executive Assessment prep and my Executive MBA Admissions consulting. I saw a dramatic difference between my output during the first cut when I tried to do it all myself and my post Sherpa self. Their teachers are very candid and constructive with their feedback and have strong communication and pedagogical skills. Sherpa's approach is holistic and isn't just limited to the material, but extends also how to effective time and anxiety management, two things that can negatively hinder your progress. On the consulting front, working with them helped refine my goals and helped me clearly articulate my position.

If you are looking for a great prep course with strong tutors who are able to help you either move up your score or improve your chances for admission, check out Sherpa!

After the GMAT course, Nafeez helped me define my direction for essays and assisted with overall proofreading. He was an excellent resource, who made me feel more confident throughout the process. Thanks to Sherpa, I am less nervous, and I look forward to hearing back from Programs in the next few months!

Last little note: They are also affordable because they understand the expense of applying to schools.

Sherpa has their own curriculum which I found to be incredibly organized, logical, and straightforward in terms of structure. The price is very competitive for these types of services for an in-person class. We had a very small class size of 3 people (although other classes were as big as 12) which gave us a lot of one on one time with our instructor. Erin was very knowledgeable, helped set realistic expectations for myself, and offered guidance and support even after the class had ended in my final weeks leading up to the test. Erin definitely added a personal touch to his instruction style and was very approachable. He was always willing to re-explain concepts and offered office hours for extra help. Dude knows his stuff. Bottom line is, you will get out of it what you put into it. I can honestly say, I would not have come close to my final score if I had tried to form my own study plan.

Nafeez gives not only the best lectures but also immense emotional support. I started taking his class this summer and mid-way through the course, I took the GMAT and got a 660 and a 680. I started doubting myself and thought maybe I wasn't even fit for an MBA program that the GMAT became such a stressful obstacle to me. ...

However, Nafeez didn't give up on me. Every time I emailed him right after another failed attempt to improve my score, he told me to keep my chin up. He made me sign up to retake his classes so I could focus on strengthening my verbal. He told me that I could do it, and his persistence made me believe that maybe conquering the GMAT was possible.

I am so so glad that I followed his guidance - my score went up from a 660 to a 740! I really don't think I could have done this without the immense help from Nafeez. Nafeez doesn't just stop at giving great lectures but is there with you every step of the way, supporting your journey as a real sherpa does.

I initially took the class over a year ago with every intention of taking the GMAT in 2016, but I ended up taking a new job putting the GMAT on the back burner. When I finally decided to take the exam, I contacted Nafeez and he picked up right where we left off and guided me through the process. Whether over the phone or video chat, Nafeez and the rest of the Sherpa prep team was there to answer my questions and give me the confidence I needed to take the exam.

Sherpa is very honest about what it takes to get the score you want on the GMAT and doesn't sugarcoat it. However, if you're able to put in the hours outside of the classroom and really go through the study materials, they will do anything and everything to get to you your goals. They give you everything you need to succeed if you're willing to put in the work.

I give Sherpa Prep and Nafeez my highest recommendation and if you are looking to maximize your score, I wouldn't look any further.

This review is a little late, but I took the GMAT Prep Course with Nafeez last year, and it was worth every penny. This course was instrumental in improving my quant score, as well as my overall GMAT score. The course material provided me some valuable tools and shortcuts to solve seemingly complex quant problems in under 2 minutes. Nafeez is a great instructor, and gets straight to the point. He hammers home the most important concepts during lectures and delivers the material in a way that is clear and easy to grasp and understand.

The course material and lectures are great, but as Nafeez says, a majority of the improvement will come from studying outside of the classes. It is not enough to just show up to the classes and listen to the lectures. If you are attentive during class, and put in the effort outside of class by completing the HW assignments, keeping track of your mistakes on an error log, and revisiting challenging concepts, then I have no doubts that ANYONE can achieve their desired score.

It is no secret that the average GMAT scores at the Top MBA programs have gone up significantly over the past few years (Stanford boasts an insane average GMAT of 740) . I am in the process of interviewing at several top schools right now, and I am confident to say that my GMAT score will not hold me back from these schools. Thanks Nafeez and the Sherpa Team!

I cannot rave enough about Sherpa Prep. I literally just got off the phone with Nafeez because I still reach out to him on my GMATs and I ended the course back in June. Four months later and he still makes the time to talk to me. That in itself should show how much Sherpa Prep genuinely cares for each of their students' success.

Four months later and he still makes the time to talk to me. That in itself should show how much Sherpa Prep genuinely cares for each of their students' success.

I'm so close to my GMAT goal score that I'm taking it again, but since my first practice exam - which I had to take at the start of Sherpa Prep - I've gone up 130 points. I didn't even try studying for the GMATs on my own before signing up for classes because I knew classes would be more motivating. After researching, I came across Sherpa Prep and not only was it the cheapest price among all the GMAT tutoring services offered in DC but it also had (and still has) only five star reviews. Every review is spot on Sherpa Prep.

Sherpa teaches you how to think about problems differently. Each class is also really small on purpose so the instructors can give each and every student personalized attention. You're not going to magically go up in score by just attending the classes though, you have to put effort into your own studying on the days you don't have class and after the course is over. But studying actually becomes more fun... as crazy as that sounds... because it becomes a fun challenge since you actually understand the different techniques (or maybe that's just me).

Either way, if you're considering taking the GMATs and are looking for the right course for you - sign up with Sherpa. You will not be disappointed - I and the 100+ other reviewers can vouch for that.

Multiple friends of mine recommended Sherpa Prep after taking the class and having all done well on the GMAT. I took their advice, and couldn't be happier with the end result. If, like me, you've forgotten 90% of the math you learned in high school, don't worry you'll learn everything you need to know to ace the GMAT in a short period of time, as long as you're willing to put in the work necessary. Thanks to the classes, assignments, test tips, and strategy for studying after the class ended, I exceeded my target score significantly. Look no further for GMAT prep, Sherpa Prep is awesome!

As someone whose taken a Manhattan Prep course, purchased Magoosh GMAT (twice), and even dabbled with Target Test Prep, I'm telling you that this is the only course that you need to take. I almost gave up on the GMAT completely, but Sherpa Prep has given me new life. Nafeez is GMAT guru. If the GMAT was a martial art, Nafeez would be a 10th degree black belt. His methods and tricks that he teaches cannot be found anywhere else. Questions that you think are impossible to solve, Nafeez makes them possible, digestible, and easy! My moral towards the GMAT has improved tremendously since attending this course. I look forward to reviewing, studying, and practicing what I've learned. The materials are extremely thorough and the content is great.

Lastly, but also very important, this course is an absolute steal at $999. Compare the price of this course with the courses of Manhattan Prep, Kaplan, Princeton Review, Veritas, ect,. You won't find a better bargain, and honestly, and I mean this with all my heart, if Sherpa Prep charged $2000, it would still a better investment than the alternatives.

Look no more. Sign up for Sherpa Prep, and you'll be extremely happy that you did.

I had the opportunity to take the course from Nafeez and had an experience that is helping me to reflect critically on my career trajectory, skills, and weaknesses--all this aside from offering me an extremely targeted and useful instructions re: the GMAT exam.

Here are my two top takeaways from the program : 1) Nafeez is brilliant and extremely funny, and 2) he genuinely cares about the success of his students. Not just in helping us to achieve a better score on the GMAT, but in caring about helping us to unlock the opportunity to attend world-class business schools in order to achieve our goals.

I can't emphasize #2 enough -- Nafeez has offered to provide support after the classroom experience that goes above and beyond what I ever expected from a GMAT program. Even after the course ends, the work does not -- I am still making my way through the packets, and, when you you take the course, which I encourage you to do, you too will understand ...

Going into this experience, I knew that I would need a classroom / in-person instructor in order to get me started on the journey toward b-school. If you have been out of undergrad for a while like me, and you are looking to make a change and/or motivate yourself to strive for something better, then I wholeheartedly recommend the Sherpa Prep experience, and specifically Nafeez as an instructor. Best of luck!

3. Teaching/coaching/availability of the teachers to help you plan, critique schedules, or help your review problems you got wrong outside of class was instrumental in my success. I went to at least 5 weeks of office hours even after I had finished the program and had all my questions answered while getting to learn more from questions other students had as well.I took the GMAT once before taking this class and took it again a couple months after the class. Needless to say my grasp of the format, content, and mental preparedness helped me get into the target range I was hoping to.Update:
1. Accepted to USC Marshall Full-time MBA Fall 2018
2. Accepted to IE Business School in Madrid Spain, Full-time MBA Fall 2018

Sherpa Prep is a test taker's DREAM because of a several things, namely:

- Nafeez values developing personal relationships with his students to help them achieve  their academic and professional goals; although it may seem soft, his deep sense of empathy went a long way to helping me unlock my potential on the GMAT;

- The instruction is effective and detailed; I routinely learned information in far less time through Nafeez; and

- Study materials are robust and very well structured; there are a ton of questions with varying degrees of difficulty and there are YouTube videos that helped me unpack problems step by step.

I was introduced to Nafeez by a friend after completing (and being unhappy with) a class-based tutoring with a big name company in the DC area. I opted for a private GMAT package with Nafeez and could not be happier with my experience or results! When needed, I also sat in on several of his classes - gratis.

I always left our sessions feeling more and more confident about the GMAT. Between classes, Nafeez directs you to study specific topics, takes time to understand how you process and approach material, and teaches and offers corrective action. Because his instruction was so thorough, I was quickly able to connect the dots and improve my numbered quant score by nearly double digit points. He was able to effectively cover a great amount of material in class and individual sessions, which helped stretch and prepare me to successfully tackle the GMAT.

An added bonus was having Nafeez's deep insight on business school admissions. His understanding of the process, programs, and building a competitive package is a service that consultants charge thousands of dollars for. In every instance, he helped me play out scenarios to guide my decision-making, and his advice proved to be true across the board.

Sherpa Prep is truly superlative. Nafeez's unrelenting commitment, thoughtful yet candid approach, and vast knowledge were impactful differentiators. To find all three of those things in one company and tutor has been a blessing and I would recommend him and Sherpa to everyone I come across.

This fall I will be attending The Wharton School - and certainly have Nafeez to thank for his impressive knowledge, ability to teach effectively, and invaluable support!

I tried two test prep companies before Sherpa- and by the time I called Nafeez I was at my wits end.  I had been studying for just about a year, had already taken the GMAT twice with minimal increases, and the round 2 decision date loomed.

I 100% credit my jump in score to Nafeez. In my case, it wasn't that he taught me math I didn't know (I had been studying long enough for that)- it's that he gave me the tools to beat my own head and self doubts. He's absolutely no BS and that's exactly what you need.

The reality is that 95% of the work you do on the GMAT will be on your own. Every other prep company focused on the material or "shortcuts" in class, but left me to my own devices the rest of the week without any guidance on how best to study. The structure Sherpa provided me with allowed me to be successful because it taught me how to teach myself.

Thanks in part to my successes with the GMAT, I received offers from 4/5 schools I applied to and am now debating between Kellogg and Tuck. Whenever anyone asks me about application advice for B school- my go to answer is always and without hesitation- Sherpa Prep.

Thank you Nafeez and the Sherpa team!

Doing my GMAT prep with Sherpa Prep was the best decision I've made during this arduous business school application process.

Nafeez is a brilliant teacher and is as real as it gets. He doesn't sugar coat the fact that you need to put in serious time to be really successful on the GMAT, but he gives you everything you need to do well if you put in the work. He helps not only with test content, but also with the general stress and anxiety that comes with such a terrible test. This was my big issue, and Nafeez helped me find the confidence to get it done.

The guys at Sherpa really want to see their students succeed. This is evidenced by their free class retake policy, their discounted tutoring rates for past students (the best private tutoring rates you'll find!) and their accessibility whenever you have questions or concerns. In my experience, they would do whatever they could to help you via email, in person, during the week, on the weekends, etc. The class sizes are small and the experience is much more personal than any nation-wide test prep conglomerate. Nafeez remembered from week-to-week what I was scoring on practice tests, where I was having trouble and what I had been working on on my own. This really added value to my whole experience with Sherpa.

I wholeheartedly recommend this class without reservations to anyone looking to conquer the GMAT. If you're willing to put in the work, Nafeez can help you reach your target score
With Nafeez's help, I was able to get first round admission and scholarship money to three top schools,(Ross, Kenan-Flagler, McCombs), including my top choice! Sherpa Prep is the best gift you can give yourself while applying to business school.

I truly enjoy the class. There is no way, given a difficult schedule and my preconceived notions about the material, that I would have spent as much thought and time and energy on GMAT prep as I have without Nafeez' guidance. Nafeez has managed to cultivate an incredible balance of methodology and expectations - informed by expertise and earned wisdom - that he employs without even a trace of condescension. I've honestly never had a teacher that so effectively merges those characteristics. It's remarkably effective and admirable. There is magic in his method, and I can only hope he aspires to replicate it at some scale.

The class is tough because the test is tough, but Nafeez and his manner make the class productive and valuable. And, as though I couldn't sing any more praises about Nafeez and the Sherpa team, today I was accepted at Chicago Booth

No way it could've happened without Sherpa. They're hands down the best.
