The instruction is wonderful and that materials will get you to a 700+ as long as you are willing to put in the time and effort. Nafeez Amin is truly an amazing instructor- clearly and concisely explaining the methodology doing problems in the right way to maximize your score. I never ever heard him provide myself or any other students answers to our questions that were anything less that thorough and helpful. With all questions, no matter how 'simple', Nafeez always gives enough detail and precision that allows students to replicate the process and arrive at the correct answer him or herself. Nafeez is truly committed to helping you achieve the score that you want as long as you put in the effort. I couldn't be happier with my experience with Sherpa prep- the instructors were generous without fail and combined with the wonderful prep materials they provided were the best support system I could've asked for in my journey to successfully tackle the GMAT and get the 700+ score I wanted.

It is a lot of work but there is no way I could have prepared myself as well without this course. Not only is the homework precisely targeted, the class sessions are extremely helpful. If you take the class I promise you will learn things about english grammar that less than 1% of the population know. There a clear pattern to the test that is not obvious until you have studied it for hours and Nafeez knows the test inside and out. To use a sports metaphor he truly is a "student of the game" and teaches test preparation perfectly, he knows the traps the test makers set and guides you around then. I personally increased by score by over 100 points and will be attending an Ivy league MBA program with a scholarship. I almost feel silly writing this review since there are already so many recent 5 star reviews but the class is just that good!

Sherpa and Nafeez were wonderful. A friend and I both worked with Nafeez and increased our GMAT scores from OS 590 to 680 and OS 580 to 690, respectively, over the course of about 6 months. We both had taken a Manhattan course together at the 14th Street location the year prior and both topped out at 650 on the actual test. We turned to Sherpa GMAT, and that is what broke the dam. We both had taken a Manhattan course together at the 14th Street location the year prior and both topped out at 650 on the actual test. We turned to Sherpa GMAT, and that is what broke the dam. Friend is into Yale, Tuck, Michigan, and I am enrolling at Georgetown. Nafeez is a swiss army knife -- no matter what your weaknesses are, he has seen them before and can turn them into competencies. No matter how incomprehensible a topic or question type may seem, he can help you crack it. I couldn't recommend him more highly. The personal tutor sessions are also worth noting, especially if you have already completed a course and are looking to gain 30 or so points, as I was. I just wish I had found him sooner.

I took Sherpa Prep's GMAT class and cannot say enough praise of the quality of the overall program and of the instruction. Their method of teaching and explaining concepts is extremely effective but lighthearted at the same time. Before taking this class I didn't know it if would be possible to get a competitive score on the GMAT given that I have a mostly social science background, but within just a few months of completing the class I was able to score over 700 on the test the first time I took it. I credit all of my progress to Nafeez and the other staff. If you're willing to put in the hours, they will make sure you succeed. I recommend Sherpa Prep to anyone considering taking the GMAT or GRE - I am confident that you will not be disappointed.

Sherpa Prep is by far the absolute best. They care deeply about their students, the first day of class Nafeez said: "From now on- im on your boat" and he keeps his promise. My journey has been VERY complicated, I went through a merger at work and it was a difficult year, Sherpa was flexible and showed me how much they cared about my application to the MBA of my dreams. They stuck with me, their classes are the best, they materials are the best, but most of all, the people at Sherpa CARE and that is what makes them so special. They want you to succeed, they want you to get into the school you want and they also do the work to help you get there! I started at 0- really Im probably the worst student they had in terms of Quant skills- Nafeez and other tutors helped me get through it all and I improved so much! I am super grateful to Sherpa!! Also, it is absurd how cheap their programs are- their quality is beyond all other programs and they still charge much much much much less!! Thank you Sherpa! I wanted to update my review as I just got the call we all wait for! I was accepted to Rotman School of Management at the University of Toronto! This was my TOP choice and I got in! I am incredibly grateful for Sherpa for their guidance throughout this entire process!! The minute I got the call I thought to myself, I have to let everyone at Sherpa know! why? because I know how much they care, they are invested in your success, Don't think twice about going with Sherpa, your future self will thank you for it, you wont regret it!!

Sherpa Prep is amazing! For anyone considering taking the GMAT - take this class first! I thought I could buy a GMAT study book, take a few practice tests and be set. I was WRONG! Jay and Nafeez teach you to think logically about what the questions on this test are actually testing. This knowledge will allow you to attack the test in a whole new way. You will learn how to avoid trap answers, think through questions logically and make educated guesses, use techniques and "tricks" so as to avoid relying on memorizing formulas and using what you already know, and maximize the areas you already excel in to get the best score possible. Take the course, it's worth it and you most assuredly will not regret it!

My instructor, Nafeez, defined my experience by holding his students to high standards from the first minute of class. From delivering tough love and motivational speeches to our class when we needed it to troubleshooting questions with me over email at any hour of the day, Nafeez will invest time in you if you're willing to invest time in your GMAT prep. He will more than meet you halfway, which meant a lot to me. One thing I found striking about his teaching style was how he peppered the class and transitioned the material with genuinely interesting stories about his MBA experience and real life application of his business degree, which truly helped to move the three-hour class along quickly.

The teachers are amazing and really teach the material, not just tricks. As someone who is not naturally skilled at math, the classes were somehow enjoyable and I learned skills that I am using now in b-school. The class sizes are small and you get personalized attention. I really can't recommend this course enough. The teachers are patient and are really talented at teaching the concepts. My test score ended up improving by over 200 points. I was going to go to a local school, but I ended up getting into Indiana (with a merit based scholarship) and I have Sherpa Prep to thank for that. You will not regret going with Sherpa Prep.

The other benefit is that Sherpa is significantly less expensive than other test prep courses in the DC area.

These guys are also incredibly dedicated to being available to answer questions, analyze practice exams, or tutor outside of class-which had a huge value-add that larger companies can't boast. I'm a return customer because SHERPA courses gave me the knowledge, skills and support I needed to excel at these exams. I can't recommend SHERPA highly enough!

I was out of their course for over 4 months and finally got a response from my top choice school saying that I needed to increase my GMAT score. Jay and Nafeez gave me studying tips, analyzed my prep exams, and allowed me to attend classes all at no cost. I believe this example highlights the sharp contrast between Sherpa Prep and other test prep companies who will charge you an outrageous price for their course and not give you the same level of commitment as Sherpa Prep. Thanks to Sherpa Prep I achieved the required score increase and will be attending my school of choice this fall.

I often tried to imagine this very moment about a year ago when I really started getting serious about going to grad school. You know, the feeling of being finished with the GMAT and on the road to success in your dream school. Everyone has their own vision of what that feels like but let me tell you it doesn't even begin to come close to the sense of accomplishment you get once you see your GMAT score pop up on the screen after 4 hours of wondering why in the heck did I pick A on question 7 or getting that acceptance letter in the mail from an illustrious university. Sherpa made that possible for me. I like many other aspiring graduate students was dreading the GMAT. Knowing that there was little chance of me doing well enough on my own, I began browsing the internet for a GMAT prep course but didn't want to spend the outrageous money Kaplan and the others were charging. Thus, I was naturally led to Sherpa whose extremely competitive price was the initial enticing factor. However, after reading review after review, I instantly got the feeling that Sherpa was much different from its competitors. I will never forget the first day of class I attended with Nafeez as my instructor. I sincerely felt as if my best friend was teaching the class and failure wasn't possible. Not only are the classes extremely engaging, they offer breaks at the right times and most importantly the instructors are always available to help you out with any problems you may be having trouble with via email outside of class. I'm not going to go into scores and such because I obviously received the score I needed to get into my dream school - The University of Maryland Robert H. Smith School of Business, but I will say if you do the work they assign, you will have all the tools necessary to score in the 99 percentile. Not only did I learn what it took to do well on the GMAT, I learned skills that will stick with me for life. Not only did I have an instructor who genuinely cared about my success, I have a friend who recently emailed me just to see how I was doing. I am forever indebted to Sherpa. They made my dreams possible and I KNOW without a doubt they can do the same for you.

More than the teaching methods that were standardized and simplified at Sherpa, Nafeez's personal coaching in adapting these standardized teaching guides to my needs and background made all the difference. My best to Nafeez, Jay and all the wonderful teachers at Sherpa!

Using Sherpa for GMAT prep was a great decision and worth every penny. Before the class, my practice test scores were alright, but I sensed that I was hitting a wall and just couldn't get to the score of 750 or above that I wanted. Sherpa provided exactly what I needed - tricks and strategies to crack each question quickly. No amount of practice problems in the GMAC books you can buy at the bookstore can compare, because in those books they show you how to do each question the long way. Nafeez and Jay at Sherpa teach you the shortest way to do each problem. I guarantee your score will rise 50-100 points or more, depending on your starting point, if you go to each class, read the invaluable packets (those materials are a gold mine unto themselves), and do the homework. Plus, both instructors are incredibly responsive - shoot them an email with a question and you'll get a response no later than the next day. I can't really see how the experience can be improved.

Martin, thank you for your class. It was amazing!!! I beat my goal of 650 and got a 670! A lot better than the 510 I started out with. Thank you again, I couldn't have done it with out you.

Seriously though, thanks for your really outstanding instruction, I know I couldn't have gotten that score without your help. When I started to get stressed during the test, I would try to mimic my relaxed, happy, but focused mental state that I always had in class when I was getting questions right. It was like having you and my Sherpa classmates with me, and it was reassuring. Thank you SO much for your help, Martin. The tutoring sessions kept me going when I was at a point of very low confidence, and your help pulled me through.
I hope you are well, and good luck with your own studies. Keep in touch, I would love to hear how you are doing. PS. Yeah, I really did hum "Eye of the Tiger" on the way to the test....
